Who is EFCS

efcs_logoOn June 16th 1962, in Basel (Switzerland), during the first International Company Sport Conference, representatives from Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Holland, Luxemburg, Sweden and Switzerland decided to found the European Federation for Company Sport. Since this date, EFCS has been developping as the most important player in Europe in the field of Company Sports. The number of member countries have been increasing from 8 (1962) to actual 35 (2013) european countries including Israel.

The most important item for EFCS is to strengthen human and cultural contacts across national borders through sport. A hell of a task because of the diversity of the company sport approach in each country. The main instruments to realize this objective were and still are the summer and winter European company sport games and the EFCS labelled events. In the last decade new challenges for our federation have been arised. Now we put our focus on the health and movement aspect and on youngsters, women, elderly people and persons with handicap, too.
